PERFORMANCY FORUM: Praxis Pathways is Zoom session where all the participants will be performing live together in between four different rooms. Invited artists (you/us) and witnesses may come and go and move between these rooms any time during the 2 hour session or choose a set space to perform. The “rooms” are set up as different sorts of modal environments. The rooms will be titled as following:
1) INSIDE/OUTSIDE
2) USE/FREE
3) MIND-DEPENDENT/MIND-INDEPENDENT
4) SAFE/FREE.
1) INSIDE/OUTSIDE: any processes involving your own physical site(s) and inside/outside of bodies, communities, containers, matrices, etc, diagramming/producing/inhabiting/escaping spaces in general, a space that cooperatively designs ways of seeing
2) USE/FREE: improvisational performance in relationship, collaboration and specific attendance to others in the moment, involving what can be taken up, held onto, used, and what is left behind, released, falls through, a space of sensitivity, particularity, and social intentionality
3) MIND-DEPENDENT/MIND-INDEPENDENT: discussion, language-based communications, sound or music, sound on, what we can know or communicate semiotically, linguistically, conceptually, as “known,” a space for realizations
4) SAFE/FREE: no interaction, perform “straight ahead” simultaneously (or share screen prerecorded video/still images etc), as you may have planned, sound muted, a protection of “the performance” or “a vision” as a space marked out as distinct from everything “else”
